The Good Stove is a significantly more efficient way to use limited biofuels in a more sustainable manner. The technology is aimed toward developing areas, but has applicability far beyond this target. The meaning of "Open Source" seems to be migrating beyond computer programing "ivory towers" to "down in the dirt" real world life-changing status. From the site: "This site consists of low cost efficient stoves designed by Dr. N. Sai Bhaskar Reddy, Founder and CEO of Geoecology Energy Organisation (GEO) for people using biomass as fuel. All the innovative designs of GEO are declared as Open Source Technology / Creative Commons for communities to adopt and use."
